Linden Place Wedding | Storm & Mel

Storm and Mel were married on August 17th, which also turns out to be my birthday:)! From our first conversation, I told them that August 17th is typically a great weather day and it turned out to be true again:)! Although their day didn’t have sunshine from start to finish, there was a beautiful cloud cover that worked as a natural soft box AND kept everyone a bit cooler on a hot summer day – perfect in my book:)!

My day started with the ladies, while my second photographer Sharon Reiley started with the guys. Even though we were technically in the same hotel, the ladies had a suite that was actually around the corner!

Storm surprised Mel with the BRIDE balloons – with the help of their planner Ariana from AMC Weddings:)!

Once the ladies were ready, we headed over to Linden Place to get Mel into her dress there…

I am in LOVE with Linden Place and how STUNNING Mel is!

Mel and Storm’s first look was one of the sweetest and most emotional that I have ever been a part of…

After having some time together (and to dab away the tears), we moved around the front of Linden Place to incorporate all of its beautiful spots:)

As we made out way out back, their pups were there, dressed and ready for their part and SO excited to see their parents!

The wedding party joined us and their families too!

The officiant had the mothers sign the certificate before the ceremony began…

As we were wrapping up our family formals, the sky looked a bit gloomy and there was a small worry of an incoming shower. Amazingly, the opposite happened…the sun peeked through for the first time that day!

The backdrop of the Linden Place Mansion, combined with the isle that everyone walks up is just to-die-for! Add these two and it is beyond gorgeous!

One last good bye and great job to their pups and cocktail hour and the reception were ready to get underway!

The dance party never stopped the whole night – complete with some limbo, impromptu chair lifts and a late night dress change!

The final song was played and they ended the evening with a true sparkler send off…Escaping to go change before the after-party!

Mel and Storm – Thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your day:)! I had the best time with fabulous group of family and friends. It was an absolutely perfect day!

Seeing each other for the first time during our first look – the second we saw each other, we both got so emotional.

What was your favorite detail?

Our dogs, Zoey and Rico, being a part of our ceremony as flower girl and ring bearer.

Any advice for future brides/grooms?

Hire a wedding coordinator the month leading up to your wedding to prevent stress, and try not to obsess over the 10 day forecast leading up to the big day 🙂

Funniest memory from your wedding day?

The best man speech – who knew he was such a jokester!

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

Nothing – although we would have loved for the reception to have been longer or that we could do it all over again! Our friends were not ready for the party to end.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

Maui and Oahu
