Jennifer & Patrick | Wedding at Mistral, Boston, MA

Last weekend I had the pleasure of spending two days in Boston for Patrick and Jennifer’s wedding! Friday night I headed to their gorgeous new townhouse for the rehearsal dinner and Saturday we spent some time in different parts of the city and ended up at Mistral for their ceremony and reception.  It was a small and intimate wedding weekend that centered around the two of them and the people that are nearest and dearest to them….it was absolutely perfect!

Before the night got into full swing, we grabbed just a couple pictures of the two of them on their rooftop deck – this is their view:)!

All of their guests arrived and spent the evening mingling, eating and chatting!

The next day began with the dress and shoes!

Once Jen’s hair and make-up were done at the salon, getting on her dress and shoes were quick and easy! When the time came, we headed out to meet Pat for the first look!
He was on time and waiting with all of the essentials you see on the left:)!
Although it was a busy Saturday at the Boston Public Library, we managed to get a ton of beautiful images! It was all about timing, patience and angles:)!
After our time at the library, we wanted a city view before heading to Mistral and this was the perfect spot that Pat and Jen introduced me to! We timed it, so their adorable pup could meet us there and be included in their special day!He was very photogenic:)! Our next stop was Mistral for family picture time!

I normally do not include family formals in the blog preview but for this wedding, I just had to:)! BOTH Jen and Pat have such warm, loving and inviting families….they are just awesome! They were also a huge part of their day!
The room at Mistral is just gorgeous and the centerpieces added a pop of color (just like Jen’s shoes did for her dress:)!The ceremony, officiated by their friend Beth, was absolutely perfect. Between Beth’s comedic timing, their own personalized vows, and how well Beth knew them it was the most personalized ceremony I have seen in a long time!  It was full of laughter and love (and a ton of happy tears too:)!  Personalization truly makes a big impact!Once the ceremony ended, it was an open reception of drinking, eating, socializing and celebrating! It was a perfect combination of a laid-back celebration!
The one formality of the evening was cutting the cake and they did a great job of it:)!Before I was heading out we attempted a full group shot….I even brought my little step ladder knowing that we were going to plan on doing this!  We did the best we could in a tight space:)!Jennifer and Patrick – congratulations to you both! Congrats on the new home, the fantastic wedding day and on the upcoming honeymoon celebration!  I wish you both the best and can’t wait to see what your finished place will look like when all of your plans are complete – I want pictures:)!!

Bride/Groom Questions

What was the most memorable moment of your day?

The Ceremony. Our friend Beth married us and it was just perfect!

Any advice for future brides/grooms?

Make it about you! and enjoy every minute! It goes by way too fast. 🙂

Funniest memory from your wedding day?

Taking photos and having to “stare” at each other without laughing. 🙂 Also, being stuck in the bathroom with my dad before the ceremony so we were “hidden”. Apparently, it was the only private space we were allowed to be in so we literally hung out in the private bathroom for 30 minutes while guests arrived.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

Definitely not! It was absolutely perfect!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We have not gone yet as we are going in May. We are going to London, Paris, and Barcelona for 10 days! Wahoo!!
