crystalin & tom | Wedding at the Casino Building, Roger Williams Park, Providence, RI

On a beautiful Friday in June, Crystalin and Tom tied the knot in Roger Williams Park in Providence! Crystalin is originally from Rhode Island and Tom is originally from Maine, but they met and are living in Florida at this time! Their wedding was a return to New England for them:)!

Their day started and ended at the Casino Building – I was there waiting when the trolley arrived with Crystalin and her girls! We immediately headed downstairs to get on her dress! The first-look with Tom was just a half hour away:)!Once we were ready we headed to the iron bridge where Tom was waiting…For Crystalin and Tom, their pictures were a big priority and they allotted a big chunk of time for them! This allowed us to travel around the park before they even walked down the isle! After the iron bridge, we popped over to the Carousel for a few pictures and a ride around:)! Crystalin had already chosen the horse that she wanted to sit on – she is very attentive to detail:)!After the carousel, we made our way to the gardens…and then on to the Temple to Music….Here is the whole clan as we got out of the trolley! This is the spot we wrapped up at, but also had the most time for all of the bridal party pictures! Crystalin calls this the “Vogue” pose and it was a request:)!One more request from Crystalin and I LOVE it too:)!The ceremony took place at the beautiful rose garden…my second time here in the month of June and it is just beautiful during this month!Tom’s sister’s walked him up the isle…while Crystalin and her father waited in the wings….After squeezing in family formals, Crystalin and Tom headed over to cocktail hour…Del’s Lemonade was being served – both traditional and made for adults – haha:)!The room was already set up and ready for the guests and looked stunning! Then the reception was ready to begin!

After the festivities were complete, we took a moment to step outside for a few with the Casino Building….and we re-created a couple moves from the first dance:)!Back inside, the party was in full swing until the end of the night!I had to highlight Tom’s air guitar:)! A final kiss to wrap up the night:)!

Crystalin and Tom – thank you for allowing me to be such a big part of your day! I hope that you enjoyed your honeymoon and had a safe trip back to FL!

Bride/Groom Questions

What was the most memorable moment of your day?

Both:  The first look – seeing each other for the first time and the looks on both our faces with the exciting reality setting in that we were getting married!  It is a moment neither one of us will ever forget!

What was your favorite detail?

Bride:  My dress.  It was so beautiful – a custom Lazaro – blush and sparkly with layers upon layers of tulle.  I felt like Cinderella in it!

Groom:  Not exactly a planned detail but my favorite occurred during the ceremony – there was a bird singing excitedly in a nearby tree and I believe it was my mother watching over us.

Any advice for future brides/grooms?

Bride:  It’s true what everyone says!  No matter how meticulously you plan out every single detail,  inevitably, something will not go as planned.  Take a deep breath and try not to sweat the small stuff and remember what the day is about – marrying the person you love.  Also, the day goes by extremely fast so try to soak up every minute and live in the moment!

Groom:  Let you wife handle the details!

Funniest memory from your wedding day?

Bride: The bouquet and garter toss was hysterical!

Groom:  While taking our photographs in Roger Williams Park prior to the ceremony, a little girl at the carousel grabbed her mother and pointed at Crystalin and yelled:  “Mommy, it’s a Princess!”  It was very cute and funny.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

Both:  No, it was perfect 🙂

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic – it was paradise!
