Chrissy & Derrick | Marriott Longwharf Wedding

Chrissy & Derrick were married on Memorial Day weekend, on a gorgeous day. They have such classy and elegant taste and are both as stunning as they are kind. Take a peek at the overview of their day starting with some fantastic details:)undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedChrissy and Derrick chose to do a first-look and it worked out perfectly! When the stretch escalade was a bit late getting us to the church (due to lights and traffic:), we weren’t stressed! The couple and bridal party pictures were already done! After the ceremony, we did our family pictures quickly and then they got to enjoy most of their cocktail hour:)!undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefined

undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedAfter the guys headed off to the church, we wrapped up with the girls and THIS is what happened! It was like paparazzi attacking. I was focused in on the girls and directing them and hadn’t noticed that this many people had formed right behind me. One man asked over my shoulder if he could take a picture. I thought that he was being polite and said, “Sure”, the next thing I know, he has literally elbowed me out of the way and that was when I saw, “THE GROUP”. I grabbed a quick shot of what this looked like and then had said, “Ok – enough!” when that wasn’t good enough, all 5 foot 2 inches of me had to physically start pushing them back – it was a bit crazy but ended up being the topic of the day!!
undefinedAlthough we just had to get some water shots (and it was the only spot that we could block off enough room for the bridal party to exclude  all of the people in Columbus Park on Memorial Day), my favorite spot of the day was under the trellis….just amazingly beautiful!undefinedWe made a quick trip back over to it before heading to meet the Escalade for the ride to the church!undefinedOne little side-note….I walked into the hotel room that morning and recognized one of the bridesmaids! Melanie, the one on the far right, went to Sacred Heart, just like myself and we were the same year! We were actually neighbors for one year too! It is such a small world!!undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedAt almost every wedding, I get a phone/facebook picture. It is such a sign of the times! I just wonder what our phones will look like 10 years from now and IF we will still be socializing on Facebook!
undefinedA few from our family formals – I don’t normally include these, but with all of these cute nieces, how could I resist!! I just love the picture of Derrick and his mom too…so much love and happiness!undefinedundefinedundefined
undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedChrissy and Derrick are BOTH awesome dancers and they had quite a crowd that joined right in!!undefinedundefinedI have only seen this done at a few of my weddings but I LOVE it….two people pretend that they are swinging jump ropes for double dutch and then people take turns “jumping” in!! It is so much fun to see what everyone does with their turn – a HUGE hit!!undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedChrissy & Derrick – I hope that you are enjoying your honeymoon! Thank you so much for choosing me to be your photographer! It was a great day:)!
