The Lighthouse Inn Wedding | Joanna & Mike

Joanna and Mike are married!! What started as a very rainy day with a looming forecast, turned out to be an absolutely perfect day – just they way that they had planned at The Lighthouse Inn!

This rosary is made out of the flowers from Joanna’s grandmothers bouquet!

Although when I arrived to explore The Lighthouse Inn it was raining, it stopped just as I was about to head over to see the guys! They were even hanging outside of the cabin on the porch!

We moved inside so that Mike and his brother could get ready…

After meeting up with Mike and his guys, I headed back to the house that Joanna was in…

As soon as I walked in, the last thunderstorm of the day rolled through. It was truly perfect timing and allowed Joanna and Mike to have outdoor pictures and even their outdoor ceremony!

While we were listening to the pitter patter, Joanna’s mom and sister helped her into her dress!

Joanna’s dad even popped in to drop something off into the room and we had an adorable impromptu “first-look” with dad:)

One of the best reaction – I just love their happiness:)

A little overcome with emotions, Mike turned his back, but I quickly swooped into another spot because THIS is the best part of seeing each other for the first time – true emotion – being in the moment and knowing what this moment means to each other and what has brought you here.  A sincere reaction is what every person hopes for in their partner on their special day – happiness, love and caring.  This was PERFECTION:)

Mike assisted in attaching the rosary to the bouquet.

The rainy weather actually helped our photo time! These gorgeous photos on the beach probably wouldn’t have been possible on a sunny day because there would have been beach goers at this time of day:) We had the beach to ourselves because of it and it couldn’t have worked out any better:)!

After our photos on the beach and wrapping up our family photos, we saved just enough time to leave The Lighthouse Inn and zoom down the street to Joanna’s grandparent’s house!

We had it all planned out with the timing and the car and it was seamless:)

Joanna and her siblings spent a lot of their childhood time here and driving right past The Lighthouse Inn. It is such a special area to their family and their grandparents still reside here.

Such an amazing and special addition to their wedding day to be able to spend a couple of minutes here and have photos to commemorate it with!

When we arrived back at The Lighthouse Inn, the ceremony was just about ready to begin!

Joanna’s aunt officiated the ceremony:)

After the ceremony, I zoomed up the stairs of The Lighthouse Inn to grab a big group photo before everyone began enjoying cocktail hour:)

Joanna and Mike scooted to the side to get bustled and I grabbed a quick photo of their rings – now that they are OFFICIALLY married:)!

The signature outdoor shower at The Lighthouse Inn had to be in a couple of photos too:)

The reception kicked off with a bang – literally:)  This group is just so much fun!

After the speeches, toasts, dinner, parent dances and private cake cutting, the dancing kicked off…

and these two families know how to dance and party!

They even had a special request to carry on a “surfing” tradition…it was hysterical!

Even Joanna’s grandparents were dancers:)!!

This couple is one of the main reasons I was able to be a part of Joanna and Mike’s day:) I photographed their wedding last year and they will be coming up on their year anniversary this October:)! Thank you Kate and Joey!

AND thank you Joanna and Mike for choosing me to be a part of your day! You two and all of the people around you and supporting you are truly fabulous!! I hope that we cross paths again soon!! Congratulations to you all!!
