Squantum Association Wedding | Meg & Mike

On a very hot August day, Meg and Mike got married!! Their day started with sun and heat, turned into some crazy good luck rain, and ended with a beautiful sunset sky!

Leading up to their day, Meg and I had spoken over the phone, but it wasn’t until their final meeting that I had the pleasure of meeting these two in person! I knew from our conversations that Meg was fabulous and when we all sat down I could immediately tell that these two are fabulous together!

Here is a little peek at their day!

Everything took place on the grounds of the Squantum Association, including the girls getting ready!

When I arrived, Meg was wrapping up the finishing touches!

As the girls started to get their dresses on, I headed over to meet up with Mike and the guys:)

Meg was ready to get on her dress…

Just outside out building, Mike was heading down to the spot where we planned to do their first look!

Their first look was absolutely perfect – full of pure joy, love and overwhelming happy tears. These two are such sweet and genuine people!

We knew there was some rain on the horizon, so we scooted around the grounds squeezing in as much as we could as we waited for the wedding party to join us!

The grounds of the The Squantum Association has so many beautiful spots to explore and use for photos:)!

As you can see here – the storm clouds were starting to roll in – making for such a gorgeous sky!

As soon as the girls and guys arrived, we snuck in some photos just as the thunder was beginning…

And as we made our way back up to the main building we felt a few raindrops and grabbed a few photos with the beautiful backdrop that complimented all of the colors that Meg and Mike chose!

We scooted inside and as they say, the sky truly opened up. We made it in, just in time!

We did a few more photos inside before the guests began to arrive!

It was a very wet trip into the building, but everyone made it:)

After the ceremony, we wrapped up with some family photos – this photo covers both families and siblings!

Meg’s sister is expecting her first child and Meg wanted to make sure we did a couple of photos of the two of them and her bump (which is an adorable little bump:)

Inside of the cocktail/reception building, everything was set up and ready to go for the evening!

We grabbed just a couple of photos of Meg and Mike as they entered their reception – now that the rings are officially on AND the rain miraculously had stopped!

And inside – the party had already begun!

The reception kicked off with some fun and crazy intros:)

Speeches were done by both siblings and both fathers and Mike’s dad ended his with a song that he sang and played…

The wedding party AND their dates:)!

We snuck out onto the deck for a few sunset photos – although the sun never came back out, there was a gorgeous glow to the evening!

This is one of Meg’s bridesmaids –  Shannon Matos (and her husband:)! She is the reason that Meg knew about me! Shannon is a fellow wedding photographer and she suggested that Meg take a peek at me:)! She is also the reason for this photo above!! While I was on the deck, she found the spot above so that I could get a better angle of the sky!! THANK YOU Shannon for the kind words, referral to Meg and for all of your help that day!! I am sure it was so weird to be on the other side LOL!!

After dinner, this group was ready to dance!! There was even a little dancing before dinner was over!  Meg and Mike cut their cake, each danced with their parent and Meg threw her bouquet before she snuck off to change dresses:)!

While Meg was changing the party kicked into full swing!

This is Mike’s grandfather who is in his 90’s but you would NEVER know it! He is sharp as a tack, funny AND danced the WHOLE night! He is amazing and so much fun to be around!

Before I headed out, I was able to enjoy and capture Kenny’s solo and Mike’s air guitar:)! I could be wrong, but it sounded like this may be tradition (or at least a common occurrence:)!

Meg and Mike – thank you for choosing me to be a part of your day! I enjoyed every minute and love that I got to meet your friends and families too! Best wishes to you all!
