Brae Burn Country Club Wedding | Michelle & Tony

Michelle and Tony had a whirlwind wedding month that included a college graduation and a big move across states, but that didn’t stop them from being in the moment and completely present for their day! They enjoyed every minute of it:) It all started at their reception venue – Brae Burn Country Club in West Newton.

When I arrived at Brae Burn, the room and details were already set up and the rain was still holding off:)

Michelle’s dress belonged to her grandmother and her mother altered it and added a couple of extra details to fit Michelle! In almost ten years of wedding photography this is a first for my brides and it was so special!

Michelle’s flower girl was so cute and was delighted by a caterpillar that they found on her dress!

Tony and his guys got dressed across the building in their own space…

I THINK this has something to do with Lord of the Rings but I have to admit, I am not familiar with it;)

While the girls and Michelle’s mom helped her into her dress, Michelle told me about her ring. It is from her other grandmother. Although both grandmothers have passed, they were both there with Michelle on her day. This photo captures them both.

After the ceremony, Tony, Michelle and their parents greeted everyone in a receiving line…

and then we used the church arches for cover! It worked out perfectly as shelter from the rain (and they even stepped into it for a couple photos:).

Back at Brae Burn, we did their family formals and then they joined cocktail hour. This was a moment between Michelle, Tony and their two friends. These four were studying abroad when Michelle and Tony met. She was coming from UNC and he from BC.  These four share a bond and an experience that they will never forget:)

After cocktail hour, the intros began

Aren’t these two just the sweetest?! Their happiness just glows!

Michelle and Tony went right into their joint parent dances …

Michelle’s father gave the blessing before sitting down for dinner…

Tony’s brother gave a fabulous toast that made me laugh at some of their childhood memories:)

Michelle and Tony, congratulations to you both! I wish you the best with all of the adventures that life has in store for you in the months and years to come! Best wishes to you both!

Bride/Groom Questions

What was the most memorable moment of your day?

The first kiss! The priest forgot to say “You may now kiss the bride,” so before walking down the isle after we were introduced as “Mr. & Mrs. Anthony Scordino,” Tony motioned – what about the kiss?? – and then turned and kissed Michelle.

What was your favorite detail?

The centerpieces – books and flowers 🙂

Any advice for future brides/grooms?

Don’t sweat the ‘hiccups,’ laugh along with them and keep rolling! …And also, no need to plan a “first dance” – winging it is more fun 😉

Funniest memory from your wedding day?

Best Man speech and dance floor nonsense!

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

No, it was perfect 🙂

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

Bermuda!!
