Michelle & Brett | Providence, RI Engagement Photographer

Last week, I met Michelle and Brett in downtown Providence for their engagement session. It was a gorgeous day and not too hot for August! We spent some time walking around to spots that I have used before, and explored a bit to find some new ones! They were BOTH fantastic sports…up for anything!! A big thank you to my “old friend” Jen for passing my name along to Michelle and Brett! I can’t wait for the wedding :)!

How we met…told by Michelle
We met at a state 911 training facility. I was the only person in the class that wasnt from his police department. On the first day of class he kindly asked me at break if I’d like a cup of coffee, and I kindly declined! The second and last day of training he asked me if I’d like to join his group for dinner after class, this time I accepted. We went to dinner and ended up talking for six hours…the rest is history!

How did Brett propose…
The morning of christmas he woke me up at 3am (we both had to be into work for 7am.) I walked into the living room, the christmas lights were on, the wood stove was crackling away…I looked under the tree and the first thing out of my mouth that morning was “hey…where are my presents.” He laughed and sighed at me and asked me to open my card first that was sitting on the coffee table. I sat down on the couch and started reading the card. The next thing I knew he was walking around the coffee table and getting down onto one knee. He was talking but I couldnt really hear what he was saying, I was already crying and staring at the open jewelry box with the ring in it. Then we both had to head to work for eight hours before we could go to our families houses to share the good news!
