Mandy & Noah | Shining Tides Wedding

Mandy and Noah were married just a couple of weeks ago at Shining Tides. I had really been looking forward to this wedding for a few reasons!   Mandy and Noah are fabulous people, I already know (and LOVE) a few of the bridesmaids AND their wedding is at one of my favorite venues (which I just moved about 10 minutes from)!! It was a recipe for a fantastic day:)

My day started with the girls (and Mandy’s details:). The guys were getting ready in the same hotel and their room was literally next door! Perfect set up for me:)

Mandy’s sister JUST had a baby and she is adorable! The tiniest little features – so cute! These are the two happy grandmas:)!

The girls helped with the dress – these are the three fabulous girls that I know (more on that below:).

Mandy surprised Noah with a putter!

Noah surprised Mandy with a thoughtful necklace (I believe it was engraved:). They had decided on no gifts so they both broke the rule:)

Once Mandy was ready, we did a first look with her dad before heading out to see Noah.

The group was “secretly” watching the first look:)

As we walked back in to get on the bus, we “may” have seen their friend changing through an open window;)

When we arrived at Shining Tides, we did some photos with the bridal party and wrapped up with a couple photos of the two of them before the ceremony!

This is where my connection with Mandy and Noah begins! Jamie (on the right) was a bridesmaid in her brother’s wedding a couple years ago! Jamie mentioned me to Mary (on the left:) and with a couple of other connections, Mary and Ryan chose me to photograph their fabulous wedding last year!  Mandy (and Jamie) were bridesmaids in Mary’s wedding and that brings us to this summer with Mandy and Noah’s wedding:)!!

This dock at Shining Tides is an absolute favorite spot of mine! It is perfect in any season, any weather and any time of day!

GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS is all I can say:)!!!

Everything was set to go at Shining Tides and the guests began to arrive!

Just as the ceremony began, it began to mist. One of the Shining Tides staff originally thought it was just from the fog, but it ended up getting stronger and staying with us throughout the ceremony! If you read Mandy and Noah’s responses below, you will see that it didn’t affect them:)!

Just as they were wrapping up the exchange of their rings, a man came out of nowhere jogging by. I have never seen that before! He was not in the least bit affected by the wedding going on;) It was hysterical to everyone then, and will always be a funny memory of the day I am sure!

After the ceremony, we decided to brave the mist for one more minute to wrap up a few photos by the boat! Noah kindly carried Mandy – further than she was even thinking – adorable!

Then the reception began and it was in full swing for the rest of the evening!

Noah’s mom was the sweetest and turned out to be quite the dancer! She was so much fun all night!

Mandy and her mom having a moment:)!

Mandy and Noah – Congratulations to you both! Thank you for choosing me to photograph your day I enjoyed every minute of it! I hope that I get to see you next summer at another wedding – that would make it three years in a row!!

Bride & Groom Questions

What was the most memorable moment of your day?  This such a hard question!! The whole day/evening was so full of SO many special moments and emotions.

Noah: Mandy walking down the aisle, obviously. It’s amazing when a moment that you’ve pictured in your head a million times exceeds every expectation.

Mandy: Sharing our vows! Waterworks city.

Funniest memory from your wedding day? The guy casually jogging with his dog right behind the ceremony!! LOL

What was your favorite detail?  The mist made it feel like a true New England wedding!

Any advice for future brides/grooms?  We are probably giving the same advice that people always give, that no one ever takes…but DO NOT stress the week before the wedding – EVERYTHING will be fine!! You will be SO HAPPY, you will not think twice or care about any of those little things.

Also, don’t keep your vows in your iPhone notes. They might just disappear on you and you end up having to re-write the morning of. BUT it will all work out and be totally fine 🙂

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?  Nope!  Well, maybe I wouldn’t have gotten married with finals on Monday haha but I’ll let you know after I get my grades:)

Where did you go on your honeymoon?  Napa, Lake Tahoe, and Yosemite!
