Leah & Scott | Renaissance Hotel, Providence, RI

On the day before Irene was to arrive, Leah and Scott were to be married. Although it was a bit rainy (down pouring at times), the day went off without any major bumps…it was fantastic! The day started for me with a quick stop to check on the guys…they were hanging out, playing “old-school” Nintendo, and starting to get ready. Scott also remembered that he needed to bring in all of his lawn furniture WHILE it was pouring rain! His best man and brother jumped right out there to help without even hesitating – that is a good brother!

undefinedundefinedI first met Scott and Leah at Jay and Rebecca’s wedding – he is Scott’s opponent in the white t-shirt. Scott was a groomsmen in their wedding.undefinedAfter leaving the guys, I headed to the house where Leah was going to be getting her dress on. She wasn’t back yet from the salon, so it gave me a few minutes to photograph her details!undefinedundefinedundefinedLeah is as sweet as she is stunning…Her girls were all so sweet too!undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedThe ceremony took place at St. Dominic’s Church in Swansea, MA.undefinedundefinedundefinedThis was the first church that I have shot in, where the priest actually invited me onto the altar! It took me completely off-guard!!undefinedundefinedLeah and Scott had their reception at the Renaissance Hotel in Providence. The State Capital Building is next door and worked out perfectly even with a bit of rain falling!undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedThe little guy is Scott’s nephew, with the same name as my son! He was ADORABLE and happy as a clam for the entire day!! He didn’t shed a tear or throw a tantrum a single time!! He even smiled so sweetly for all of the pictures! Scott really wanted his to show his muscles…This was the ONLY thing that he decided not to do!! He giggled the whole time though…watching the grown-ups make all of their crazy faces!!undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedWe wrapped up with some couple time, before Scott and Leah joined the cocktail hour…undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedI have been really impressed with quite a few of my maid-of-honor toasts lately and Leah’s maid of honor is one that completely stands out!! She was incredible!undefinedundefinedundefined

undefinedLeah and Scott are both dancers – on the floor for almost every minute of the night…they dance with friends and dance with each other – I just love the two of them!!

(It doesn’t hurt that they are country fans too :)!)

Leah and Scott gave their bridal parties Flip-Cams – they were being used throughout the day! A ridiculously smart idea!!undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedLeah and Scott – congratulations! I am so happy for the two of you – you are both fantastic and fun people and I am so happy to have been part of your day!undefined

 Leah & Scott

What was the most memorable moment of your day?

When our wedding party was in the hallway getting ready to be introduced into the ballroom.  They were out of control, insane, and hilarious.  I loved it!  (Leah)

When we came down the stairs into the cocktail hour and were greeted by the roar from all of our friends and family. (Scott)

What was your favorite detail?

The candy bar and the flowers in the girls’ hair (Leah)

The groomsen all had flip cameras that Scott had given them as a thank you gift.  (Scott)

Any advice for future brides/grooms?

Make sure you plan enough time in the final week before the wedding to finish the small unexpected details and to have some time for yourself.

Funniest memory from your wedding day?

We didn’t see it in person but we have on video Geoff (bride’s brother) sliding head first and taking out Christina (his wife’s) legs knocking her on her behind as they were being introdced into the ballroom.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

 Nothing!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We went on a mini-moon to Niagra Falls (b/c we had to go right back to work) but have a trip to St. Lucia planned for February.
