Lake Pearl Wedding | Gabriela & Alex

Gabriela and Alex are officially married:)!! I first met these two waaay back at Gabriela’s cousins wedding when they were first dating. Gabriela was one of the bridesmaids and Alex was there with her. It was a BIG wedding party and even bigger wedding but I did actually get a picture of these two way back then (and it was even in their slideshow at their wedding!:).  Fast forward to today and these two have a beautiful home and an even more beautiful baby girl who was a trooper the whole day!

Our day actually started at Gabriela’s parents house and there was a lot of rain falling and predicted BUT it all worked out fabulously – which it always does:)

Gabriela was onto her make-up and the girls were wrapping up their hair and make-up!

Baby Hudsyn got a little help from Gabriela’s mom into her robe – so precious!

After a little hair touch up, she was obsessed with doing her make-up like her Auntie Tori was doing!

Little Hudsyn also wanted to help her mama:)

When it was time to get the dress on, Gabriela had help from her sisters, mother and her maid-of-honor:)

You never know what you are going to get with a little one on such a busy and stimulating day, so you roll with it and capture what happens (try our best to keep them happy:) and sometimes you get magic:) Hudsyn did this all on her own…perfection:)

Over at Gabriela and Alex’s house, the guys were getting ready…

After leaving the guys, I headed to Lake Pearl to meet back up with the girls! Once we arrived and got situated, I found a little spot for photos. Gabriela had mentioned that she wanted a more natural greenery/woodsy look and this spot worked perfectly – it kept us on the dry-ish ground while getting a beautiful back-drop:)

Although the rain stopped just in time for the photos – we had to use these fabulous umbrellas that Ashley’s mom Dora went and got for them!! I love them:)

Once we had the girls tucked back away, the guys joined us:)

Shortly after that, the guests began to arrive and the ceremony began!

Siblings:)!

In the tent the stage was set and the guests enjoyed some cocktails while we did our photos and they were excited for the party to begin!

Let the celebration begin (with some awesome intros first:)

Can you tell what these three siblings are doing?  They NAILED it!! It was awesome!

Gabriela’s sister (who was also the officiant and bridesmaid:) also gave a blessing – in her own style:) She used the song Fresh Prince of Bel Air and completely changed the lyrics – it was awesome!

Gabriela and Alex – Thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your wedding! I loved seeing everyone again and getting to meet Alex’s family too!! Congratulations to you all!!

Bride/Groom Questions

What was the most memorable moment of your day?

My ceremony for sure! My older sister was my officiant which made it more special. She has always been there throughout my entire relationship so it was really emotional for me to have right right in front of us.

What was your favorite detail?

Definitely the ceremony! Originally I was suppose to have it at the gazebo but since it rained they moved it to the boathouse, truthfully, it was even more beautiful than the gazebo! My florist did an excellent job, with such little time to change.

Any advice for future brides/grooms?

Always ask yourself what’s important to you. There will be so many people asking you so many questions and giving their opinions and sometimes it can derail you from what YOU really want. I ignored everyone and planned the wedding I wanted and there is not a thing I would change! So happy with how it turned out. Even with the rain !!

Funniest memory from your wedding day?

My sister who was the officiant made it a funny service because she knows if it was too serious it wouldn’t be my style. She made it funny and memorable.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

Nope! Loved everything. Especially the vendors I chose!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We are going for the Bahamas 🙂
