This is a FULL preview for Kristen and Mike!! Their wedding took place a couple of weeks ago and I am excited to say that their full gallery is just about ready to be posted! When that happens, it tends to be an even larger post than my normal :)!
Kristen and Mike had a fantastic day….the rain even cooperated with our schedule and we got outside without any big issues throughout the day!
My day started with the guys while the girls finished up at the salon!
This is Mike and his twin brother. After wrapping up some pictures of the guys, I headed up to where the girls were getting ready. Everyone was on the same property but just in different buildings! This is the locket that Kristen and Mike mention below….that is a picture of Kristen’s mother….a special detail from their day.
If you haven’t noticed yet, Kristen is a fun and happy girl!! Always smiling and laughing! It was instantly clear to me that her best-friend and maid-of-honor, Stacey, is her perfect match! There are a series of pictures of Stacey helping Kristen with her jewelry and she was such fun!Mike helped his grandmother to her seat before the ceremony began. This series of pictures are some of my favorites from the day…Kristen’s dad helped her up the steps before walking her down the isle…I love them in color, but the black and white give them such a timeless feel (and this gorgeous church backdrop has a European feel!).The inside of the church was just as stunning! This is Mike’s father presenting the eucharist to Kristen.I just LOVE this picture for the pure joy on Kristen’s face and in her movements!Once again, I could have posted ten more pictures from this brief moment on the church steps….just in love with these!!Back at the Publick House we were under the gun fighting what was left of the daylight…but we pulled it off while battling a slight chill in the air (it is March in New England:)!
I loved this spot, but we were only able to stay there for a couple of minutes…we were blocking all of the guests as they tried to pull in the driveway :)!Inside the reception hall, I grabbed a few detail shots before the guests were let in from cocktail hour! The reception began and was a whirlwind party from that point on! Tons of dancing (especially from Kristen!), and even a change of dresses!I will leave you with a final kiss from the first dance!
Congratulations to you both! I hope that we get to cross paths again in the future! A big thanks to Kristen’s co-worker Katie, one of my brides from last winter…I greatly appreciate your kind words that sent Kristen and Mike my way:)!

What was the most memorable moment of your day?
The most memorable moment of the day was when we exchanged our vows at the altar. What was your favorite detail?
Our favorite details was the locket with a picture of Kristen’s late mother that hung from her flower bouquet. It made us feel like she was close to us all night.Any advice for future brides/grooms?
Future advice for brides and grooms would be to enjoy every minute and not get caught up in all the details because the day goes by in a second.Funniest memory from your wedding day?
The funniest memories came from the jokes in the best man and maid of honor speechs because they both made such amazing speechs that highlighted on some of the funniest moments in our relationship.
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
No, it was absolutely perfect!Where did you go on your honeymoon? We went to Las Vegas and then rented a mustang convertible the lastday to venture into the desert.

Hello!!! I absolutely LOVED your photos of this wedding! I am doing some research on the Publick House as I am photographing a wedding there myself at the end of the month. I was wondering, what camera/lenses did you use? Did you use flash? On camera/off camera? How did you handle the high ceilings in the reception hall? My couple will also be having their ceremony there before the reception. I cannot use off camera flash. I have a canon ex600 rt with a lite genius modifier but I am still concerned about fill light. I don’t want to use lots of flash but should I use higher ISO? Looking for your suggestions. Thanks! 🙂
