krissy & ken | ma engagement photographer

This engagement session has been in the works for quite a while! I originally met Ken and Krissy when he was in Heather and Marc’s wedding last fall. At the wedding they chatted with me about their possible upcoming engagement so when I officially heard from Krissy that the engagement happened, we started talks about an engagement session! When we chatted, Krissy had told me that they were having a destination wedding…what she didn’t tell me at the time was WHERE they would be doing it!  It turns out that they are having it in on the beach in Naples, FL, which is where my family lives! I actually visit there every spring before the next wedding season kicks off, and they are having their wedding in the spring too! Seeing they haven’t secured a photographer, we are seeing if I can coordinate my trip to match their wedding:)! Then I can be a part of their day in Naples too!!

Krissy and Ken – I hope that you enjoy your preview – you two are awesome people:)! Congrats to you both!!

How did you meet…as told by Krissy and Ken  | We met at our high school in Bristol. We were friends through high school and into college. Our friendship escalated into a “dating interest” when we both travelled to Naples Florida. Krissy went to Naples to visit friends and Ken went to visit his sister; we correlated to travel down on the same flight together and kept in touch during our stay. One of the days Krissy was on Naples beach sunning and Ken had known this via a text earlier that day and Ken rode up on the shore on a Jet Ski pointed Krissy out on the sand and waved her over for a ride on the jet ski which she agreed. “That was a big spark moment between us” ( Big brownie points for Ken haha).

How did he propose | Ken proposed to Krissy at Di Carlo Trattoria Restaurant in Smithfield; where they had their first dinner date. After dinner Ken told Krissy how much he loved her and “It is with great certainty that I want to spend the rest of my life with you” (remembered quote) and Ken got down on  his knee and asked her to marry him. The crowd in the restaurant was screaming and cheering after Krissy said yes and came over with limoncello shots to celebrate.
