Kendra & Shawn | Boston Wedding Photographer

About a week and a half ago, I wrapped up my 2013 wedding season with the largest wedding party that I have ever worked with, and an awesome couple to lead that big pack! Kendra and Shawn are just fabulous!

We started the day at Kendra’s mother’s house in Waltham (one of my favorite places because it is home to so many of my fabulous brides and grooms!)!!

Kendra was working on her hair while I photographed her details…
When she was ready, we headed up to her parents room to get on the dress and the details…
Once everyone was ready, we squeezed in a few pictures of Kendra and her girls (and at this point, it was a mild November day:)!I met up with the guys at the church, and pinned all of their boutineers before we squeezed in a few pictures…(special thanks to Judy’s Village Flowers where I had one of my first jobs in high-school:)!This next picture depicts one of the cutest and funniest things that happened during the ceremony! You could occasionally hear, “uh-oh” after a toy dropped or “hello” when Kendra’s niece decided to make a pretend phone call – so cute  – I couldn’t help but giggle:)!After a fun trolley ride over to Granite Links in Quincy, we hopped out for some pictures before the sunset! Little did we know that when we popped out 45 minutes after leaving the church, the temperature had completely changed!! It felt like January high atop those hills!Kendra and Shawn, along with their parents, had a sneak peek viewing of the room before they entered and they LOVED how it all came together!
Because we couldn’t feel our fingers and toes, we wrapped up inside with a few more pictures of Kendra and Shawn!
Kendra and Shawn were able to enjoy cocktail hour and mingle with their guests before the reception began! They ended their first dance with a special dance with the nieces and nephews!and then invited all the guests to join in!
Once everyone settled back in, the speeches began and cake cutting followed…We did a few group shots while everyone was eating…and I even locked myself out, trying to get some outside shots:)! Luckily the table closest to the door heard me knocking:)!After parent dances, the partying began and it was a packed dance floor from there on out:)!Kendra and her grandfather:)!On my way out, I spotted these awesome favors! I just HAD to pull back out my gear and get a couple shots to remember them by:)!

Kendra and Shawn – I know that you are enjoying your Hawaiian honeymoon – I believe that you may be on a zip-line as I type this:)!  I hope this preview will be fantastic end to a fabulous day:)!

Bride/Groom Questions

What was the most memorable moment of your day?

For Kendra: my favorite moment was walking down the aisle and seeing Shawn’s face when he saw me.  He was literally grinning ear to ear and I don’t think he stopped smiling until it was over! Even my maid of honor pointed out how adorable it was!!

For Shawn: My favorite memory was seeing Kendra for the first time coming down the aisle just watching her make that long walk towards me. I couldn’t believe how stunningly beautiful she looked. I knew she was would look amazing but she blew all my expectations out of the water.

What was your favorite detail?

We absolutely loved every detail of our wedding. Heather actually took us into the room to get a sneak peak before our guests entered. It was such an awesome moment seeing how beautiful everything came out including the flowers (we loved the birch) and the cupcakes!!

Any advice for future brides/grooms?

Honestly I was probably the most nervous bride there is but when it came time to walk down the aisle I was the happiest person in the world! Just take in everything on that day and enjoy every second it truly does fly by!

Funniest memory from your wedding day?

The funniest part of our day was Shawn taking off the garter.  He was most nervous about doing this since he claims he’s not the best dancer… He could have fooled me!!

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

We wouldn’t change a thing!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We are in Hawaii for two weeks and it is everything we expected and more!! Most beautiful place ever!
