Kate & Brian | New England Aquarium Wedding, Boston

Kate and Brian’s wedding day kicked off at the The Langham  on a beautiful Boston day! Kate wanted me to arrive as she got her dress on, but I was a little early and was able to capture a few last minutes of hair and make-up time!

This beautiful lady got married last weekend in California and Kate was in the wedding on her way back from her honeymoon in Hawaii! An exciting couple of weeks for all!

When we were ready for their first look, we headed out to Post Office Square for photos.

Their first look was full of emotion and love. These two quietly talked and hugged for quite a bit of time – like they were lost in their own world together.

When the bridal party joined us, we spent some time taking photos with them…

On our travel over to Columbus Park and the New England Aquarium, we encountered many people dressed in orange…they were part of a bar crawl and full of hoots, hollering and well wishes!

At Columbus Park we did a few more pictures, met up for family photos and then headed in to the aquarium.

At the New England Aquarium, we headed inside for a few quick pictures and got tucked away and freshened up for the ceremony…

Out back, the guests were arriving and everything was set for the ceremony…even this gorgeous view!

The sea lions were very vocal during the ceremony and it was even perfectly timed! When one of the reader was speaking about their dog, the sea lions actually sounded like they were barking:)

In the tent, the tables were getting set and ready…

and inside the NE Aquarium, the guests were enjoying cocktail hour:)

Brian’s brothers gave what I would call a toast that was almost a skit:) It tied in Brian’s job, blogging and even pre-recorded voices while they acted it out:)

Brian and Kate’s first dance happened after dinner and then the dancing kicked off at the end of the parent dances!

I had the pleasure of photographing Kate and Brian’s wedding due to the kind referral of these two fabulous parents in the top left photo below! I photographed their daughter Catie’s wedding (at Glen Magna Farms in 2013) and they mentioned me to Kate’s parents – Thank you so much:)!!

Kate and Brian – Congratulations to you both and your fabulous families! I wish you all the best!

Bride/Groom Questions

What was the most memorable moment of your day?
The ceremony was definitely the highlight of the day. Our friend Joe officiated and did an amazing job. It was a beautiful and emotional ceremony, and we lucked out with great weather along the water next to the Aquarium.

What was your favorite detail?
The sea lions were very vocal during our ceremony, which was a lot of fun. We loved having the cocktail hour inside the Aquarium, and of course the penguins were a huge hit.

Any advice for future brides/grooms?
Try to make it the rounds with as many guests as you can as early as possible. We didn’t realize how hard it would be to say hello to everyone who came out to celebrate with us.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
We had an amazing day, and everything went so smoothly! We only wish we had told our DJ not to take requests for the last song, as we ended up with Sisqo’s Thong Song playing after our official last song.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Maui 🙂
