Karleen & Jonathan | RI engagement photographer

Karleen and Jonathan are getting married:)!! I met these two last year when Jonathan’s sister tied the knot! Jonathan and and his sister Ashley are a part of a HUGE and fabulous family, so Ashley & Brian’s wedding day was action packed and full of tons of new people that I had the pleasure to meet! I am so excited to see them all again next summer:)!

Karleen and Jonathan chose Roger Williams Park for their session and even though we picked the date months before, we ended up with a gorgeous fall day (along with gorgeous fall colors!)! Take a peek at our time together below – and see just how sweet these two are:)!

Karleen and Jonathan – I can’t wait for July:)! Thank you for choosing me to be a part of this special time for you and your families:)!

(I have to also give a shout out to Kayla Resendes (Rosa’s Hair Design)…she did Karleen’s hair and is Jonathan’s cousin! She was also a part of the hair and make-up team for Ashley and Brian:)!! Gorgeous makeup by Martha Suszylo too:)!!

How did he propose | We had reservations for cocktails at the Dorrance, but before that we went for a walk. The walk led to the bridge overlooking the Waterplace Basin in Providence, RI, where Jonathan proposed. Initially when we parked, Jonathan had given me a small gift bag (out of the car trunk), which I was not allowed to open right away. Once we were on the bridge, Jonathan said that I could open the bag. Inside the bag was an ornament that was handmade with curls of ribbon inside which read “I love you”, “will you marry me”. In shock I didn’t even notice him get down on one knee and when I looked up he was on one knee holding a box with an engagement ring (like the true gentleman he is 😉 ). After he proposed, we went to the restaurant where we had our first date at. When we arrived both of our immediate families were waiting for us for a surprise engagement party.
