Jill & Shavit | Wedding at the Long Wharf Marriott, Boston, MA

Jill and Shavit were married on February 8th and I have been anxiously awaiting their return from an AMAZING honeymoon!! I couldn’t wait to share their day with them!

My time with them started in the later afternoon for an evening wedding….It is rare for me to only have an hour of daylight with a couple during their wedding but this was one of those instances! While Jill was getting ready, I was working with her dress and details and capturing her time in the chair! Time had gotten a little crunched for her, so she had hair and make-up working their magic at the same time!
I LOVED all of Jill and Shavit’s details! They MADE the flower girl basket and ring bearer’s “pillow”!

While I was with the girls, Sharon (of Bittersweet Books) was helping me for the day – starting with the guys:)!

This is a photo of the spot where Jill and Shavit got engaged – you could see it out Shavit’s window!Jill and Shavit chose to do their Ketubah signings separately in their respective rooms before the ceremony…During the ceremony, we were told to only take photos during the entrance and at the end…we snuck just a few more photos – on silent mode and without flash (and from the 2nd and 3rd floor balcony’s too!

After the ceremony, we snuck outside for some pictures and it was definitely chilly:)! Jill and Shavit love the cold and the snow – we even did their engagement session in the snow last year – but nighttime cold seems just a bit chillier! We hung in there though:)!
I loved these lights in the lobby of the hotel – I thought it looked a bit like snow….we didn’t get any falling outside – so this gave us the look inside:)!We snuck into the Midnight Lounge for a few indoor pictures while we warmed up!Wait until you see the room – I have to say that the room looked INCREDIBLE….The colors, the centerpieces, the chairs, the snowflakes in the uplighting – just magical! The reception kicked off with some fun introductions of Jill and Shavit’s family…they chose not to have a bridal party, but made their families a special part of their day!Their first dance was choreographed and they did a great job! They kept it happy and even when the dress got in the way, they laughed:)!
During dinner, their parents each danced to their own wedding songs…such a cute idea! This next shot is courtesy of Sharon Reiley’s eye!! She noticed the snowflakes were reflecting in the glass – SO awesome!Parent dances:)
Before the party was in full swing, we grabbed a few pictures with the snowflakes – determined to get Jill her snowy pictures:)!
The rest is party history:)!

I never had a chance to photograph the rings and as the party was wrapping up, I realized it! After a few shots, I returned them to their rightful owners and got a couple of cute pictures of them putting them back on!

Jill and Shavit – congratulations to you both and to your families too! I wish you all the best!

Bride + Groom
What was the most memorable moment of your day?

Shavit –  The moment I saw Jill for the 1st time coming down the aisle.

Jill – Our wedding ceremony was the most memorable for me. I was really nervous walking down so it was comforting to me that under our Chuppah it felt intimate, just Sahvit and I, and the Rabbi.

What was your favorite detail?

Shavit- The chocolate replica of my truck on the wedding cake which I had no idea about.

Jill – I think our florist did a beautiful job transforming the ceremony space.

Any advice for future brides/grooms?

Shavit – Elope

Jill – Well I like Shavits answer. Lol!

Funniest memory from your wedding day?

Shavit – Freezing our butts off outside while taking pictures.

Jill – Shavits giant trunk hanging off the wedding cake. It was a surprise for him but the size of it was a surprise for me!
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

Shavit – Nope…it was perfect.

Jill – If I could go back in time I might have given myself a Zanax before I walked down the aisle. I got so nervous, even the Rabbi asked if I was okay because I was shaking.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We went on an amazing honeymoon to Bora Bora and Maui!
