gail & fred | wedding at brookmeadow country club, canton, ma

On a very chilly Saturday in October, Gail and Fred were married at Brookmeadow Country Club in Canton! The day started  with a brunch for both Gail and Fred at their childhood homes. I headed to Gail’s house, and Sharon Reiley, my fabulous second shooter, headed over to meet the guys! While the ladies were enjoying their brunch, I began photographing some of their details!Once brunch was over, the ladies headed to the salon for the hair and make-up.This is Gail’s sister and her daughter. She was fantastic for the entire day:)Once the ladies were all finished up at the salon, we headed to Brookmeadow for the first-look of Gail and Fred, but before we could do that, everyone had to get their dresses on!
While we were finishing up inside of Brookmeadow, the guys were arriving and putting on their finishing touches.Gail and Fred are always laughing together and their first look was no different:)It started with the giggles, because sweet and emotional, and quickly got back to pure happiness:)One from Sharon’s view:)
These little guys are brother and sister and Gail’s sister is their mom! The picture frame was brought by Gail and Fred for this specific picture:) They used it at their engagement session too, so it has come full circle! After the pictures, we headed indoors for the Ketubah signing, while Sharon headed over to get the guests arriving!I love this picture that Sharon took of the ceremony site! As you can tell, it was already beginning to get dark before the ceremony began at 6pm…we knew that this was going to happen, but we hadn’t realized how quickly it would get dark!It was close to completely dark as everyone walked up the isle and uncharacteristically cold! You can’t tell by looking at these two pictures, but the guests were in winter coats and some even had blankets! Gail ordered heaters the night before the wedding to keep the bridal party warm up front! I am posting this on November 1st and it is warmer today than it was on their mid-October day!Gail’s parents were waiting for her at the front of the isle.
Regardless of the weather, it was a beautiful ceremony and one of the groomsmen’s iPhones became the light for the Cantor to use in order to read the words and finish the ceremony! Technology to the rescue!Gail and Fred got to enjoy their cocktail hour and we spent a lot of time during then and during the reception getting a ton of different group shots! I only included one or two here, and wanted to highlight the events of the evening:)!

Gail and Fred – congratulations to you both! I hope that your honeymoon was fantastic!!

Bride/Groom Questions

What was the most memorable moment of your day?

The waiting for the first look when Gail snuck up behind me and was teasing me (Fred)

What was your favorite detail?

The Favors.  We made and canned all the jam, had a friend write the tags for the seating, another friend made the labels for the jars, and we finished them off by putting it all together. It felt like “us.” (Gail)

Any advice for future brides/grooms?

Take time to step back and enjoy the day.  It was really nice to be able to sit down and enjoy the time with our guests. (Fred)

Funniest memory from your wedding day?

Looking over at my new husband while I was being lifted in the air and see him dropped to the ground because the chair had been ripped apart by the people holding it – for the second time! (Gail)

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

No Way! (Both)

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

Argentina.  Amazing trip filled with waterfalls, penguins, cafe con Leche & Alfajores!
