How do I know if you have my date available?

Please send me a message using the contact form and I will quickly get back to you with my availability! Once we know that I have the date available, I would love to set up a meeting so that we can talk about all of the details of your day, go over all of the packages and options and get to know each other a bit better! I will also bring a guest book and album samples for you to see, touch and feel in person!

Who will we be working with before, during and after our day?

That will be me – Heather Chick! I will be with you every step of the way…from our first emails, to our first meeting and through the designing of your album, I will be with you every step of the way!

How far will you travel for a wedding?

Although I mainly work in the Massachusetts and Rhode Island area, I am open to any destination if it fits in my schedule!

Can we create our own custom package?

Yes! I offer four packages that will help to get you started, but you can always customize one to meet your wish-list and/or budgetary needs!

How do I book my date with you?

After we have the opportunity to talk about your wedding and find a package that meets all of your needs (and wants), we will go over the contract. A signed contract and $1,500 retainer will hold your date!

What should we wear for our engagement session?

I always say that you should be a nice version of you:)! Be sure you  feel good about what you choose because when you feel good, you exude confidence! In terms of colors, patterns and accessories – we will talk about that further when we meet!

Do you have insurance?

Yes, I am fully insured!

What type of equipment do you use?

I have top of the line Canon equipment. This includes two 5D Mark iii bodies, multiple top of the line lenses (from wide-angle to extreme zoom), flashes, and back-up equipment for all. I bring all of my equipment to both my sessions and my weddings. My belief is that you can never be too prepared!

How many images will we receive?

Over the course of the day, there is no limit to the amount of images I will take. I typically take thousands of images and during the editing process, I edit out duplicates, out of focus images, and images with poor lighting or bad expressions. After processing your photos, your gallery will contain approximately 850-1,000 images, depending on the length of your day. There is no magic formula or number that I am actually aiming for. I just want you to have every fabulous moment and image captured, so that you end up with a fantastically full gallery that tells the complete story of your day!

When will we see our images?

I aim to get you your gallery as quickly as I possibly can. This typically means a blog preview within 2-3 weeks of your wedding and your full wedding gallery within a couple weeks of the blog preview. Before the preview is ready, I use Instagram and Facebook to post a few “sneak peeks” too!

How many weddings do you photograph each year?

I typically limit myself to around 20 weddings each year. I find this to be a perfect amount for me, so that I can truly focus on each couple and their day! I aim to provide the best possible customer service and turn-around time that I can!
