Erin & Jonathan | Wedding at Charter Oak Country Club

Erin and Jonathan were married at Charter Oak Country Club in Hudson, MA. The first time that I worked there I couldn’t believe what a hidden little gem it is and now I love that I get to shoot here often:)! The grounds are fabulous and their staff is even better!  Erin and Jonathan chose well for their venue and even more perfectly for their date – it was a GORGEOUS day and our weather has been a little iffy lately – LOL!!

Our day started with Erin and her girls at Charter Oak getting ready…This is the view that I pulled into:)!

Erin’s mom and mother-in-law:) Two super fun ladies and they love each other too!

We did a few photos of Erin and her girls before leaving for the church…I just LOVE this porch at Charter Oak!!

We did an impromptu first look with dad who arrived in perfect timing:)!

Their hands appear staged by me, but they actually were not. I was just talking with them to let them know what was happening next and they were naturally clutching each other as I chatted with them…it was perfect!

At the church the guys were waiting for the ceremony to begin…

These sweet girls were patiently waiting for Erin to arrive!

We headed outside and this sweet moment happened between Grandma and her granddaughter!

When we arrived back at Charter Oak, we photographed the bridal party first and then let them join into cocktail:)

Everything is perfect at Charter Oak on this lawn in the afternoon! I just love how their clubhouse photographs in the gorgeous afternoon light!

After we sent the bridal party in to enjoy some more drinks and food, we headed to my other favorite spot at Charter Oak for a few quiet moments with just the two of them:)

For my first time at Charter Oak – we took the golf cart – LOVE golf cart photos:)!

Inside of the Charter Oak ballroom – everything was set up and ready to go – including a custom made Barbie – I believe it is a tradition in Erin’s family!

They had a Photo Booth mirror set up – with a red carpet feel – very cool:)

Erin’s grandmother was unable to attend the wedding, so they live-streamed the ceremony for her and the beginning of the reception too!

Erin and Jonathan stepped outside to say hello to her grandmother before the signed off on the live stream.

After the parent dances, they did the Polish Apron Dance (so sorry if I have the name wrong)…This is when guests pay to have a turn to dance with the bride…there was quite a long line!!

Then the dancing began!

Before I headed out, we snuck outside for a few night photos within the arches…another favorite spot at Charter Oak.

Erin and Jonathan – thank you for choosing me to be a part of your day! I wish you both the best and your fabulous families too!

Bride & Groom Questions

Q. What was the most memorable moment of your day?
A. Our most memorable moment was seeing each other for the first time as Erin walked down the aisle of the church.

Q. Funniest memory from your wedding day?
A. The funniest moment was when Jonathan’s niece Caroline ran down the aisle early, before the other two flower girls, and then started processing into the Church with the bridesmaids like she was supposed to be there the whole time. It made everyone laugh and looked adorable!

Q. What was your favorite detail?
A. It’s hard to pick a favorite detail because we were so happy with how everything looked, but we were most impressed with the cake and memory table. The cake was exactly what we asked for and looked stunning. The memory table was set up perfectly and we loved seeing everyone enjoy looking at pictures of loved ones.

Q. Any advice for future brides/grooms?
A. Remember to take time to look around and enjoy the little details. The day goes by so fast but seeing everything come together and smiles on people’s faces is worth the wait!

Q. If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
A. We wouldn’t change a thing. The whole day was perfect!

Q. Where did you go on your honeymoon?
A. We spent 10 days in Bermuda! We stayed at two amazing resorts and only had one day of windy and rainy weather from Hurricane Jose.
