The Lenox Hotel Wedding | Elizabeth & Matt

Elizabeth and Matt are married!! It was my final fall wedding of 2017 and it couldn’t have been any better! These two are just absolutely fabulous and their family and friends are the absolute best too !

My day started at Elizabeth’s parent’s house. I walked in to the warmest welcome a set of parents have ever given me! It was amazing! After a little chatting, I started with the details. Elizabeth’s mom had decorated the house with the wedding in mind and it looked fantastic!

KILLER shoes and fabulous decor to go with them:)

Elizabeth was wrapping up with her make-up…while I wrapped up the details!

Elizabeth had her family as her bridal party – her sister on the left and her cousin on the right. These three couldn’t be any more gorgeous inside and out!

The girls and Elizabeth’s mom helped with her dress…

Elizabeth’s mom was just so happy to be in the moment and be so involved in the planning with her daughter. You could tell how much it meant to her to be watching her daughter get married and be so happy!

Once Elizabeth was ready, we had a first look with her dad…I think Elizabeth made her parents promise not to cry, so watching her father go through all of the emotions of seeing his first child get married WHILE trying to hold it in was adorable!

Elizabeth’s grandmother was there in spirit and a photo of her stayed close to her the whole day.

GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS!!

Once we wrapped up some pictures, I headed over to the church ahead of the girls to meet up with Matthew and meet his guys! This church was chosen by Matthew and Elizabeth because Elizabeth’s parents were married there!

His mom was there to help too!

Elizabeth and her dad were glowing as they walked up the isle together.

After the ceremony we headed to the field across the street for some photos before the sun set! We started with families, did a few bridal party photos and wrapped up with Elizabeth and Matthew before heading into Boston!

On the left is Elizabeth with her siblings and then we added in her cousins on the right! Her cousin Meg is also getting married next year and I was already booked:( I am so sad that I won’t be able to be a part of her day! She is fabulous!

These are Matthew and his mom’s people. They are what I would call your “chosen” family. They may not be blood related but they matter just as much:)!

When we arrived in Boston, there was still a bit of daylight and we decided to use it at the library!

There was a wedding going on in the Boston Public Library (I have since learned:), so the doors were locked, but the glow from the inside lights and the gorgeous building, made a perfect backdrop:)!

When we officially arrived at The Lenox Hotel, we headed in for a few minutes of warmth:)

The Lenox Hotel is fabulous and this elevator is to die for!

We then headed up to the fabulous rooftop of The Lenox and it got even better!

I am in LOVE with the glowing Lenox sign

but then we moved to the other side of the Lenox rooftop and the view was INSANE!!

On the OTHER side of the Lenox rooftop, you also get a different view of Boston which includes the Prudential!

Inside, the room was getting its finishing touches and cocktail hour was about to begin!

The top left photo includes Elizabeth’s father Doug and his brother Jeff. I mention this because my husband is Doug and his brother is Jeff! We learned about this coincidence at our final meeting!

The party began with intros…

The dome ceiling is gorgeous in the Lenox ballroom.

There were toasts by Elizabeth’s father, along with the best man and maid-of-honor – who ALL killed it:)

and then there were parent dances after dinner!

Matthew and his mom started off with a minute of traditional dancing and then spent the remainder of the song signing the lyrics. It was so special and truly amazing to watch!

Then the dancing really began!

Elizabeth and Matthew – thank you so much for having me be a part of your day! I wish we could do it all again next weekend:) Congratulations to you both and to your families too! I hope we cross paths again really soon!

Bride/Groom Questions

What was the most memorable moment of your day?

Elizabeth: Walking down the aisle and seeing Matt for the first time all day!
Matt: Being introduced for the first time as Mr.& Mrs. Wright.

What was your favorite detail?

Elizabeth: I loved having the photo of my grandmother on my boquet with me all day. And my wedding band was my grandmother’s so that was really special.
Matt: We were able to spend cocktail hour in a private suite that the Lenox had stocked with all our favorite drinks and snacks so that was a lot of fun.

Any advice for future brides/grooms?

Elizabeth: Enjoy the whole planning process and day – they aren’t lying when they say it goes by so fast! Also, take time the week of the wedding to enjoy time with family & friends!
Matt: People will tell you not to worry and have fun; I didn’t believe them but I did end up having way more fun than I thought!

Funniest memory from your wedding day?

Elizabeth: Right before we were about to leave for the church, we had a second party bus (that we never confirmed with, paid, etc.) show up at the house! So that was pretty funny (and my mom’s reaction was classic).
Matt: Tyler, the best man, directing tourists around the library, insisting it was closed while we were taking pictures.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

Nothing!!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

Disney World!!
