Andrea & Zach | Wedding at the Captain Linnell House, Orleans, MA

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing Andrea and Zach’s wedding down the Cape! Andrea and her family, lived just a few doors down from me growing up and although I didn’t know her then (I am a bit older), I feel like I have known her and her family my whole life now:)! We had a great day together – with a few obstacles (the weather:), that we had to overcome, but everything worked itself out and it was a fantastic day from start to finish!

I arrived a little early to find Andrea wrapping up her make-up! I captured some details, checked in with the guys and then finished with the dress before heading out for our first-look:)!
Andrea’s sister, Elizabeth, was a fantastic maid-of-honor! She assisted with it all, including Andrea’s make-up!When I popped in to see the guys, they were just hanging out – guys are always so relaxed! When I popped back in to the girls suite, they were ready and relaxed too! Always a great sign to a relaxed day!
Everyone assisted with the dress and details!Andrea helped to pin her father with a little help from her sister (Elizabeth and I both worked for Judy’s back in the day!)…
Unfortunately when we arrived at the beach the rain began, and didn’t stop for most of the day! Luckily, I spotted a building/church complex that we had passed and we asked permission to do our first look and pictures there! It worked out perfectly! When we arrived at the Captain Linnell House, Shelly was there to greet us and fill us in on the plan! The Captain Linnell House is fabulous…so unique and quaint and their grounds have a feel of a secret garden!

We tucked Andrea away in one of the back rooms and put on her veil!

Love this one:)!When the ceremony began, we had to move it inside – the rain was not cooperating!Andrea’s brother Jimmy officiated the ceremony and did a great job! One of Andrea’s friends that did a reading made a tiny slip up while reading! It was a perfect little slip! Those little kinds of things, always bring a giggle to a ceremony:)!When the ceremony was over, we thought we had a moment of clear skies, but once we stepped out the door the rain started again! This front overhang was a perfect spot for some family pictures and a quick bridal party shot too! When the reception began, everyone entered in a fun way! I love a lively entrance:)!When I spotted the rain stopping for a moment, we snuck outside! We had to take advantage of the ground for just a minute:)!These are some of my favorites from the day – I just love the backyard at the CLH!The reception kicked off with some funny speeches and then the dancing began!

Andrea and Zach – Thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your wedding! You are a fantastic couple with awesome family and friends!! I hope that I get to see you all again soon…enjoy your preview – there are so many more to come:)!

Bride/Groom Questions

What was the most memorable moment of your day? Two stand out for us: seeing each other for the first time and then enjoying the last dance surrounded by our favorite people.

What was your favorite detail? The pictures of both sets of parents on their wedding days.

Any advice for future brides/grooms? There are some things you cannot control (i.e., lots of rain), so only worry about the things you can (i.e., get Heather for your wedding if you can)!

Funniest memory from your wedding day? The best man and matron of honor speeches were great.  Both Matty and Elizabeth had us laughing.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything? Not a thing!

Where did you go on your honeymoon? Riviera Maya, Mexico
