Amanda & Sean | Hawthorne Hotel Wedding, Salem, MA

Amanda and Sean are back from an amazing honeymoon in Italy and their preview is ready for them:) They had a gorgeous day that started in the morning with some good luck rain and then it cleared to be a beautifully sunny and warm day in June!

Sean was getting ready at the Hawthorne Hotel – where their reception would be later that evening. I stopped by for a bit before heading to Amanda’s childhood home!

A special family pin for Sean’s brother and best-man:)

At Amanda’s, the girls were ahead of schedule when I arrived – which doesn’t happen often!

Although Amanda and Sean didn’t do a first-look, Amanda had one with her father and her girls!

I met all of the guys at the church, before the ceremony, and we did a few pictures before going in!

I love when couples choose to have a vintage car:)

Impromptu selfie:)

After the church, we headed to Dane Street Beach – a special spot to Amanda…Everything we did during their day was within a 5 minute drive of each other! It was all so centrally located!

We made a second stop just down the street:)

At the Hawthorne Hotel, cocktail hour was wrapping up and everyone was about to enter for the reception!

I love these three photos of Sean and his mom – this will be me when my little guy gets married:)

Then the partying began!

Amanda and Sean – thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your day! I loved getting to meet your family and friends:)!! Congrats to you both!

Q. What was the most memorable moment of your day?
A. All of our college friends reuniting for the first time since we graduated.

Q. Funniest memory from your wedding day?
A. When we were getting introduced into the reception, Sean stepped on my dress twice and broke the bustle. I had to have my dress safety pinned for the rest of the night

Q. What was your favorite detail?
A. We’re both really big Game of Thrones fans, and we found a pin with the McDougall crest on it that we picked up at the Highland games last fall. Sean gave it to his brother/best man so he could be “hand of the king” for the day.

Q. Any advice for future brides/grooms?
A. Have a go with the flow mentality on your wedding day. Things probably won’t go as you exactly planned, but you’ll love the day no mater what.

Q. If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
A. No.

Q. Where did you go on your honeymoon?
A. Italy
