Amanda & Rob | The Casino at Roger Williams Park, Providence, RI

Amanda and Rob started their day in separate towns…Rob was in their home in North Attleboro, and Amanda gathered her girls in Providence. The weather was beautiful from start to finish!

When I arrived at the hotel, Amanda was about to get into the chair to begin her hair…I took that opportunity to begin getting some detail shots!

undefinedundefinedundefinedAmanda is a bride that is on her game…she brought an invitation and a program with her, AND kept the rings…just so I could photograph them!  She also waited for me to arrive before she opened the gift from Rob!

undefinedundefinedundefinedHer girls and her mom helped her into her dress and helped her add on the accessories..undefined

undefinedand her mom kept her christening had so that she would have something old…brilliant!!undefinedundefinedWhile the girls were getting dressed, the boys were doing the same thing back in North Attleboro with Sharon, my second shooter!

Once Amanda was dressed, her father arrived to see her…

undefinedThe ceremony began with a walk up the isle starting with Dad, and having Mom join in halfway there.undefinedundefinedA great balcony shot by Sharon!

undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedThis is actually the second kiss of the ceremony, just before they walked back down the isle together! undefinedundefinedAfter the ceremony, we headed to Roger Williams Park…we started at the Temple to Music, but only had a short time there before another ceremony began.undefinedundefinedundefinedLove this shot by Sharon!

undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedAfter the Temple to Music, we scooted over to the Japanese Gardens for a few more pictures… Amanda and Rob allowed for plenty of time between their ceremony and reception for traveling and pictures. This allowed them to join in on the cocktail hour just minutes after it began!undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedDuring cocktail hour, I was able to take plenty of detail shots with the help of Sharon!

undefined

undefinedundefinedThe reception began with a bang and honestly never stopped! The dancefloor was packed for the whole night …the fact that Rob had about 40 guys from his fraternity ALONE, probably helped that along 🙂 undefinedundefinedundefinedAmanda’s best friend Patty flew from Germany to be there…Patty and Rob’s brother/best man, had the honor of giving the toasts.undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedAlthough Rob mentions below, that if he would go back, he would spend more time with Amanda on the dancefloor, he didn’t do too bad!! There were several opporunities throughout the night for me to get a bunch of pictures!undefinedAmanda was definitely the bigger dancer of the two 🙂 !!undefinedThis was one of those perfect moments! Rob’s family has a tradition of belting out Sweet Caroline at weddings…Rob and Amanda joined in and danced a bit!!

undefinedundefined

These are my two new friends! Carlos, who was in the wedding party, and his wife! They are wedding photographers also, so we could have talked all night!

undefined

The final songs of the night…undefinedundefinedundefinedRob and Amanda, congratulations to you both! You had a fantastic day and an unbelievable party :)! Thank you for choosing me to be your photographer!

Rob & Amanda

What was the most memorable moment of your day?

Amanda – walking down the aisle to Rob 🙂

Rob – Dinner!  no, just kidding, seeing Amanda walk out for that first time (and somehow managing to not tear up)

What was the most unforgettable thing about your wedding day?

Amanda – The crazy amount of love I felt as I walked down the aisle

Rob – All of the people!  I couldn’t believe how cool it felt to have all of our friends and family in one place, and know they were all there because of how much they loved Amanda and me.

Any advice for future brides/grooms?

Amanda – its all worth it – stick to the things that matter most to you and remember, its about marrying the love of your life.

Rob – Make it about you.  Don’t listen and bend to what other people want because your parents want one more thing, or some random aunt wants so and so done.  There are so many things that you need to focus on (and still remember to enjoy yourself!), that if you focus on trying ot make everybody else happy you’ll blink and it will be over.

Funniest memory from your wedding day?

Amanda – Doing the Roger Rabbit to Vanilla Ice

Rob – Getting pulled into the middle of a dancing circle, then backing out as soon as Amanda’s back was turned because I hate dancing circles… which incidentally led to her funniest memory, so it all worked out.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

Amanda – Nope

Rob – Spent more time dancing with Amanda.  I was trying to be sociable, and talk to everybody, instead of staying 100% focused on Amanda like I should have been.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We haven’t gone yet but we will be going on a once in a lifetime cruise of the Mediterranean this September.  We can’t wait!
