Aimee & Nathan | Providence Engagement Photographer

Last week I met Aimee and Nathan for their engagement session in Providence. It was the day that kicked off a very rainy week and although we were hopeful that we could squeeze in our session – we did get a little rained on.  A little rain didn’t dampen our spirits though – we had fun with it (and even got to watch a film crew setting up for a movie shoot that night)!

As you can read below, Nathan and Aimee are getting married in Disney World! They were referred to me by my past clients, Heather and Marc, and all four of them just got back from another wedding in Disney World too ( I had even seen it on Facebook before Nathan told me:)! It was when their dream became a possible reality:)!

Take a peek at our session below and read their sweet MV engagement story:)!

Nathan and Aimee, I wish you two the best with all of your planning and on your trip to Florida for your wedding day!

How did he propose |   We frequent Martha’s Vineyard because Nathan’s family lives on the island.  I had only been to MV once as a child before I met Nathan.  During our first trip there together six years ago, he took me to Aquinnah at the tip of the island and we went walking down the beach to see the beautiful cliffs.  This July, we took my sister with us to show her why we love the island so much.  We went walking on the beach with my sister and Nathan’s family, and when we neared the cliffs Nathan and I ventured off on our own.  Before I knew it he was getting down on one knee and asking me to marry him.  After a minute of stunned silence I happily answered “Yes!” and then “Finally!”.   I had no idea that he wasn’t done surprising me quite yet.  My parents and Nathan’s dad were waiting to surprise me at his Aunt’s house, and my brother flew in from NYC to surprise me as well!   It was a perfect weekend with our loved ones that I will never forget.
